Important Note About The Process

Please be aware that there are few requirements that need to be completed before we will accept your vehicle. You must first remove the battery from you car. We will pay top dollar for your car battery if you recycle the battery but you must remove it from the car first. You must also make a baseball sized hole in your gas tank and have the Freon properly removed. No Freon is allowed to be discharged at the ABC Recycling facility. When you arrive with your car, our staff will check to make sure the above requirements are met before the car is taken to the steel yard. If you do not pass the inspection, we will not accept your car. Please note that you must have the title of the car signed over to the seller’s name. By law, we cannot accept a car that is not in the seller’s name.

The above requirements are not difficult to carry out before arriving at our location. These steps are very important, since they eliminate the risk of hazardous wastes being released and prevent environment contamination.
